An important message from Dr. Arleen Azar-Mehr

Dear Patients,

Your health is important to us, and your safety is our top priority. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation and all CDC guidelines very closely. In an effort to further protect our patients and staff, we’re proactively adapting the way that we provide orthodontic treatment: we’re going virtual.

Operating virtually isn’t new to us. We’ve been on the forefront of remotely monitoring our patients’ orthodontic treatment for the past six months. Whereas before it was a way for us to minimize your time spent in our office, now it’s a necessity for all patients.

What this means for you:

· If you’re currently a Dental Monitoring patient, everything will continue as before. We will send you your aligners and provide you with next steps.

· For those who have Invisalign but do not use Dental Monitoring, we’ll reach out shortly with next steps on how you can send us the images we need to monitor your treatment progress with Invisalign’s new virtual care program.

· For an emergency: please text or call us at 818-886-6666.

· New patient consultations will be conducted virtually, through Zoom video conferencing.

For those who have braces, please follow our suggestions that we’ve given you in the past of foods to avoid while wearing braces. It’s very important that you don’t break your braces because we are not able to fix them. It has been mandated that we cannot see patients unless it is a true emergency (a true emergency is considered pain with ulceration or infection). If you need a refresher on some of the meals to have and meals to avoid, visit our website. We promise to be there for you through this dynamic situation, and we look forward to continuing to make you smile.

Stay well,

Dr. Arleen Azar-Mehr
